COVID-19 (novel Coronavirus) and the Riverdance Summer School programs (Columbus, Boston, Dublin and all juniors programs) in 2020.
I hope you and your families are well during this challenging time.
On behalf of the Riverdance Summer School team, I wanted to update you on the Riverdance Summer School programs for 2020 and how we plan on dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic’s potential impact this summer’s Riverdance programs.
As we know, COVID-19 is impacting our families, communities and countries around the world. The news and advice surrounding this situation is changing daily and, with this in mind, our plan is to be patient when making any decision in relation to our summer programs (Columbus, Boston, Dublin and our Juniors programs).
Over the course of the coming days and weeks, we feel the priority is to ensure the health and safety of our families and our communities by adhering to all government and health officials guidelines as we all do our upmost to help play our part in controlling this pandemic. We are hopeful, that by the time we get towards the end of May, we will be in a better position to make a more informed and educated decision on all Riverdance Summer School programs. We will be continue to monitor and communicate with all local and federal governments as well as the W.H.O to ensure, that when the time comes, we make the most informed decision.
What does this mean for you?
As of right now, we are operating as if the summer school programs are going ahead as scheduled. We will continue to take bookings and accept new applications but we suggest that you do not book any travel or hotels or incur any additional cost at this time particularly if it is nonrefundable. If it is a case that we are not in a position to proceed with a particular program due to the current Covid-19 pandemic then you will be fully refunded your fee’s for tuition paid. When it comes to places in the program, we will continue to operate on a first come first serve first serve basis.
As you know the health and safety of the participants, instructors and local staff is of the upmost importance to us. Again, we hope you and your families are all doing as well as can be expected and we are hopeful that the saying “this too will pass ” will come sooner rather than later. We know that this crisis will be minimized by our purposeful attempts to stop the spread of this virus so we continue to encourage everyone to adhere to all government and health official guidelines.
